Short version: account information is handled by Clerk, saved Pokémon collections are stored so signed-in users can access them across devices, and the site does not sell personal information.
1. Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to ohhimark.net and its tools, including Pokémon Card Values, Cheep Cheep, and Disney Stay Compare (collectively, the “Site”). By using the Site, you acknowledge the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
2. Information collected
- Account information: when you register or sign in, the authentication provider may process your name, email address, profile image, account identifiers, login method, and security information. The Site does not receive your Google password.
- Saved collection data: signed-in users may save selected Pokémon cards, card details, estimated prices, and related collection preferences.
- Local browser data: selected cards and interface preferences may be stored in local storage on your device, including when you are not signed in.
- Technical data: hosting and security providers may automatically process IP address, browser and device type, request timestamps, referring pages, diagnostic logs, cookies, and similar information needed to operate and protect the Site.
- Search and usage data: searches, filters, pages viewed, and interactions may be processed to return results, troubleshoot errors, and improve the Site.
- Card photos: photos selected for Pokémon identification are processed locally in your browser and are not uploaded to the Site. Recognized text that you choose to search is handled like any other search query.
3. How information is used
Information is used to authenticate users, provide and sync saved collections, operate search and comparison features, maintain security, prevent abuse, diagnose problems, improve performance, comply with law, and enforce applicable terms. The Site does not use account data to make automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects.
4. Legal bases and consent
Where applicable law requires a legal basis, information is processed as necessary to provide requested services, for legitimate interests such as security and improvement, to comply with legal obligations, or with your consent. You may withdraw consent where processing relies on it, without affecting earlier lawful processing.
5. Service providers and external sites
The Site uses service providers that process information under their own terms and privacy policies, including Clerk for authentication and Cloudflare for hosting, database, network, and security services. Google may process information if you choose Google sign-in. Search and comparison tools may link to or retrieve publicly available information from retailers, marketplaces, price guides, social platforms, Disney, and other third parties. Those third parties control their own services; this policy does not cover their practices.
6. Sharing and sale of information
Personal information may be disclosed to service providers working on the Site, when required by law or valid legal process, to investigate fraud or protect rights and safety, or in connection with a transfer of the Site. Personal information is not sold for money. The Site does not knowingly share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
7. Cookies and similar technologies
Authentication and security services may use cookies or similar technologies that are necessary to keep you signed in, remember session state, prevent fraud, and protect the Site. Your browser can remove or block cookies, but account and saved-collection features may then stop working correctly.
8. Retention and security
Information is retained only as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above, including account operation, security, backups, dispute resolution, and legal obligations. Reasonable administrative and technical safeguards are used, but no internet service or storage system can guarantee absolute security.
9. Your choices and privacy rights
You may use many Site features without an account, clear locally stored data through your browser, sign out, or stop using the Site. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or information about disclosures, and to appeal or complain to a privacy regulator. Identity verification may be required before fulfilling a request. Authorized agents may submit requests where permitted by law.
10. Children
The Site is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. The Site does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact the Site owner so it can be reviewed and deleted where appropriate.
11. International use
The Site and its providers may process information in the United States and other countries whose data-protection laws may differ from those where you live. Service providers are responsible for the transfer safeguards applicable to their processing.
12. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated as the Site changes. The “last updated” date will be revised when material changes are published. Continued use after an update means the revised policy applies to subsequent use.
13. Contact
For privacy questions or requests, contact the site owner through the contact method published on ohhimark.net. If no contact method is displayed, you may use the account provider’s support and account controls while a dedicated privacy contact is being added.
